This weekend I joined a group of friends on a group date night with a twist. My friends had bought a great deal on Groupon for a murder mystery dinner event at the Stone Lion Inn Bed & Breakfast in Guthrie, Oklahoma. They sent us the background for the night's events, which were to be set in 1948, and we were told to dress accordingly. How fun! We were given "characters" to play and were given just a few sentences of information about each of them so we could shape our character to some degree. I was the owner of a horse stables in Connecticut, and I met my date (my hubby in real life) at the Belmont Stakes where I had a promising young horse racing. My date was the proud new owner of a textile factory in New York. A lot of the fun for me and the other women was the shopping and coordinating outfits before the dinner! I found resale shops and antique stores near me that I never knew existed and that I can't wait to visit again.
